Health, Wellness and Safety
We are committed to safety excellence.
Safety, health and wellness are foundational to building high performing teams and delivering consistent business outcomes. Protecting employees, contractors and visitors is embedded in Ecolab’s values and reinforced through a Goal Zero mindset focused on zero incidents, zero injuries and zero violations. This commitment is shared across the organization and reinforced every day through leadership expectations, training and operational discipline.
In 2025, we continued our commitment
to safety excellence.
Safety On the Road
Keeping our associates safe when they are on the road is one of our top priorities. Ecolab’s more than 26,000 sales-and-service associates regularly drive to and from customer locations. Continuous driver safety training is key to achieving our safety goal and part of our commitment to do all we can to improve driving behaviors and keep our teams safe behind the wheel.
Our focus on innovation and technology has helped us improve driver behavior and enhance driver safety. As a result, we have reduced our total vehicle accident rate by 45% per million miles driven since 2013, globally. Our severe vehicle accident rate remains lower than the benchmark, at 0.068 per one million miles driven.

Safety Through Training
Training reinforces awareness of safety responsibilities, expected behaviors and the importance of individual accountability in achieving a Goal Zero mindset. Employees are equipped to recognize hazards, understand the potential consequences of their actions and intervene when conditions are unsafe. In 2025, 95% of employees completed Safety Onboarding within their first 30 days of employment.
In 2025, our global total recordable incident rate decreased by 58% from a 2013 baseline globally.
